New Splatterhouse Screens, Special Promotional Shoes

It’s been one month since we reported that Namco Bandai had ditched BottleRocket Entertainment and planned on bringing the Splatterhouse remake to the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 platforms all on their own.  Since then, it appears that Namco Bandai has been pretty busy with the gory beat ‘em up title.

While nothing in terms of in-game content has been revealed, Namco Bandai will be releasing a shoe based on the game.  Being brought to consumers by Namco Bandai and Globe Shoes, the Namco X Globe Superfly Hi shoes are based on the sneakers Rick, the protagonist in Splatterhouse, wears throughout the game.  The shoes are black, have lettering on the side that spells out “Splatterhouse,” and feature a splattered blood pattern on them.

“Splatterhouse, the bone chilling horror series comes back to life with these KILLER kicks brought to you by Namco and Globe Shoes! The Superfly Hi is a premium hi-top based on Rick’s own sneakers in the game! Its design is a testament to the game’s gory, intense, and horror movie-like tone. The Splatterhouse logo is sprayed across the outsole in blood red.”

The shoes are priced at $79.99, which is pretty steep but understandable.  Additionally, those who order the shoes soon also get a free Splatterhouse T-shirt to sweeten the deal even more.

If you don’t care at all about the new Splatterhouse shoes, then we’ve got something for you too.  Below are some new in-game screens released by Namco Bandai.  So far, the game is looking to be a blood-soaked slash-fest.
