Fellow Zelda fans, rejoice! It appears that we’re finally going to get some juicy details in the coming weeks regarding The Legend of Zelda for the Wii. The December 18 issue of Official Nintendo Magazine will feature an exclusive interview with Zelda producer Eiji Aonuma.
Aonuma told the British and Australian magazine that Nintendo plans on revealing a few surprises at E3 2010, and that gamers can expect an overhaul of the highly successful franchise in this next entry for the Wii. When asked about the changes made to the game and just how different the title will be, Aonuma stated that Nintendo wants to give longtime fans something fresh and surprising. “So we have been trying something new in terms of the structure of the Wii version of the new Zelda game this time. I am really hopeful that people will be surprised with the changes we have implemented for this Wii version” said Aonuma. The Zelda producer went on to mention that the game will feature Wii MotionPlus support as previously mentioned and reverberated that Nintendo hopes to surprise gamers at E3.
With all this talk about surprising the fans, what exactly can longtime Zelda fanatics expect from the upcoming Zelda title on the Wii? Will these new introductions to the popular Zelda structure fare well with Hyrule aficionados? These questions may be answered in the upcoming issue of Official Nintendo Magazine, which is exclusive only to those living in the United Kingdom and Australia. The magazine will not only cover Zelda on the Wii, but also include the first-ever review (at least that’s what it says on the website) for The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks and an interview with the mind behind Zelda, Shigeru Miyamoto.
