Metro 2033 to be released on PC and Xbox360

August 2006, Ukraine developer 4A Games announced the development of Metro 2033, a game based on the novel by Dmitriv Glukhovskiy. Three years later, publisher THQ have announced that the game will be released on both PC and Xbox 360. After the first trailer, where we were told the story by a russian with a horrible accent, i’ve been looking forward to this game. First, it’s yet another post-apocalyptic game. Second, it’s in development by some of the core people behind S.T.A.L.K.E.R.

Metro 2033 tells the story of the world after a nuclear war, where horrible creatures have infested most of the land. Humanity resides in it’s final bastion – the Moscow metro. The game looks and sounds awesome, let’s hope it’s not another good game, screwed up by tons of vodka.

  1. Just like STALKER, the entire dialogue is in Russian and the ones that are in english are horrible. They use it for building the atmosphere. It’s in Moscow, after all.
