BioWare has just recently released a video profiling the Engineer class for the new and upcoming Mass Effect 2. The game looks polished and the Engineer class skills and tactics look great. The class seems to be more of a tactical class rather than run-and-gun. If you choose the engineer you will spend a lot of time checking your surroundings and finding the best way to change the battlefield to your favor.
They have added a Combat Drone which acts as a device that attacks your enemies in order to draw fire away from your teammates. The drone can be summoned again once it has been destroyed, and you can even use it as a sort of detonation device.
They have also added a skill that allows you to turn any mechanical creature into an ally for a period of time. This will easily make your team a force to be reckoned with when you add a temporary fourth member in the heat of battle.
Mass Effect 2 seems to be shaping up nicely, and I imagine that each class will be equally as impressive as the Engineer class already is. I have posted a link to the video below, enjoy.
