KOEI has just announced that the latest edition to the Dynasty Warriors series, Dynasty Warriors Strikeforce, will be
coming to both Xbox 360 and PS3 on the 16th February 2010.
As per usual, the world will be set in mythical ancient China. There are, however, some new additions. Dynasty Warrior Strikeforce will be the first game in the series to offer multiplayer for up to four players. Online, players will have the opportunity to test their mettle together in various campaigns, working together to fight giant monsters as well as the thousand man armies typical to the series. Offline, players will be able to control up to 3 AI characters to aid them with their killing spree.
Both console versions of the game will include an additional 40 missions as well as the ability to download further missions online. Other new features for the console release include; A new officer called ”Meng Huo” and online officer trading.
There are a couple of little differences between the two console releases though. The PS3 edition of the game will include exclusve characters from Ninja Gaiden 2, whereas the Xbox 360 version will include characters from Warriors Orochi 2.

Is this a port of the PSP version? That game was a lot more epic than most of the Dynasty Warrior games in the whole series, and that’s saying quite a bit. <3 DW
It most certainly is
It sounds like there is going to be plenty of extras for console versions.
There doesn’t seem to be much in the way of images floating around just yet. Just box art. I’ll keep my eyes peeled for screenshots.
DW is indeed a very good series which is unusually underrated.
