To the delight of 2D side-scroller fans everywhere, Capcom announced Dark Void Zero, a (not so) new title soon to be available for the Nintendo DSiWare. In the vein of of the retro Metroid and Castlevania 2D adventure games, Dark Void Zero also has the jet pack everyone should recognize from the upcoming Dark Void (for the 360, PS3 and PC). There also looks to be quite the wide assortment of weaponry at your disposal, and while comparing the game’s visuals to its big brother would be just plain wrong, it does look deliciously old (and therefore awesome) making me nostalgic for the games I use to play after school. Oh, to be young again. Is it worth checking out? Definitely. Err, I mean you should most certainly watch the video and decide for yourself.
Dark Void Zero will be available for download on the Nintendo DSi in January 2010.
