The machine spitting out weapons is called the Pack-a-Punch. Players can put their weapon into the Pack-a-Punch machine and receive one of several random upgrades, including more damaging rounds and an increased rate of fire. Treyarch also added a teleport system that players can unlock for an unknown amount of points to make a quick getaway. It’s similar to Shi No Numa’s zip line feature, but it’ll make you feel much cooler.
In this video interview Josh Olin, Community Manager of Treyarch Studios provides more insight into the Pack-a-Punch machine and teleport system, as well as some new features like added weapons and improved AI.
Look for “Der Riese” and the rest of Map Pack 3 on the Playstation Network and Xbox Live Arcade on August 6, 2009.
