Blur to be featured in LEGO Rockband

Another Band will be immortalized in Rockband LEGO,  This time it is UK band Blur and their hit song “song 2”.  Sorry Blur but your LEGO selves look the same as all other LEGO games 🙂

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and MTV Games today announce that LEGO® Rock Band™ will feature the likeness of chart-topping UK band, Blur. Singer Damon Albarn, guitarist Graham Coxon, bassist Alex James and drummer Dave Rowntree will be shown in the game as LEGO mini figures as players perform the group’s hit track, “Song 2.”

LEGO Rock Band puts the power of rock into the hands of tweens, teens, families and gamers of all ages as they go on a wild journey to stardom as they “Build a Band and Rock the Universe.” The game is developed by TT Games in partnership with Harmonix for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, PLAYSTATION®3 computer entertainment system and Wii™ home videogame console. LEGO Rock Band for Nintendo DS™ is co-developed by TT Games and Harmonix in partnership with Backbone Entertainment, a Foundation 9 Entertainment studio. All versions are scheduled for release in November 2009.

  1. It sounds mean, but honestly, I hope this game crashes and burns. There is nothing inappropriate in Rock Band, there is no reason entire families can’t play that game, and would need to spend another $100 on this. I see this as a terribly concealed cash-in to be frank.
