BioWare release Seasonal Facebook App.

It seems that BioWare are releasing a little gift for their supporters in the form of the Facebook App, “Gift of the Yeti”. A first for the successful developers.

In the game players need to help a sick Santa by delivering presents on his behalf. The story unfolds further with each day, as a sort of advent calander feature. There is also a competitive element to the game with its scoring system — allowing players to compete against each other, and set each other targets.

If checking out BioWare’s Facebook debut doesn’t peak your interest yet, players will be receive a $10 discount code for the recently released Dragon Age: Origins. Additionally BioWare will give a donation of anywhere between a penny and $10,000 to a the childrens charity Child’s Play — A charity that gives toys and games to children in hospital.

“Gift of the Yeti is BioWare’s digital holiday card to its fans. We use social networking as a powerful tool to connect meaningfully with our tremendous fan community,” said Dr. Ray Muzyka, co-founder of BioWare and the Group General Manager of the RPG/MMO Group at EA. “Gift of the Yeti is a fun, engaging holiday present from BioWare to our fans, the first in a series of compelling social experiences from BioWare Labs.”
