This announcement coincides with the addition of new Ratchet and Clank 2 and Uncharted 2 Home spaces. This is most probably a statement from Sony to 3rd party developers, demonstrating the benefits of advertising their games in Playstation Home.
Although Home is still in open beta, it’s already beginning to be an area of success for Sony, with considerable attention being drawn to the Red Bull, Resistance 2, Buzz!, MotorStorm and SingStar areas.
A lot of the features that Sony had promised to users are starting to surface as well, with media streaming and game launching making an appearance.
Home hasn’t achieved the epic scale success that Sony had predicted but it certainly isn’t a failure either.
