Runes of Magic, the free-to-play MMORPG by Frogster and Runewaker Enterainment, seems to be on a row. Not only did the game win the ‘International Game of the Year 2009′ at the German Game Developer Awards, but it was also announced that Runes of Magic has reached 2.5 million registered players. And believe me, for a free-to-play MMORPG, this really is big. Launched in March 2009, Runes of Magic is a fantasy MMORPG with a great deal of content, complex RPG system, good graphics and a magical soundtrack, Runes of Magic, although bringing nothing new to the table, is one of the top free MMORPG’s at the moment. It should be noted that registered players do not equal active players, though.
