On the first day of Gamescom, The Creative Assembly and Sega announced “Napoleon: Total War”, the next in a long line of Total War games. The game will follow the life and times of Napoleon Bonaparte, emperor of France. The game will be as close to the original history as possible, following every major battle that Napoleon led – from his first battles in Egypt, to the legendary battle of Waterloo. The game’s release is planned for February 2010.

You know, I’ve been a fan of the Total War series since Shogun. It’s my kind of RTS, where everything is all prepped for war and it’s in your hands.
Since Shogun was based on the teachings on Sun Tzu, I’m certain this will be based a good bit on War and Peace.
Never heard of the game until now actually, but I am a big fan of war history so ill wait to hear more about this game!
Interesting first time hearing about a total war game. Is the game play will be like AGE OF EMPIRES? Is so it will be more exciting. Waiting for more reviews about the game to know the key features like graphics engine, combats etc.
If you really want to know more about the Total War series, i’d strongly recommend that you actually play the previous games. No seriously, the games are great.
While I was in England, one of my friends couldn’t stop talking about a game called “Rome: Total war”, I’m pretty sure he’s excited.
Rome Total War is the best strategy game ever made, in my opinion
With mods its even better.
Seriously joedigital war history will always be remembered but sad to say Napoleon lost a war. But lets just wait and try to play this game. WAR WAR WAR!! HURAHH!!
This sounds like a very nice progression and a good addition to this series. Napoleon is a colorful character in history, and if they do keep close to the truth, that makes the game educational as well. I like it.
