Exactly 7 years ago today, Microsoft officially launched Xbox Live for the original Xbox.
At first Xbox Live wasn’t such a hit, but that all changed with the release of Halo 2, where Xbox live’s popularity soared up. That only increased with the release of the Xbox 360.
Counting today, there have been over 20 million active users on the online service, and the record breaking 2 million users signing in simultaneously. Xbox Live has seen some pretty big upgrades over the years, with the most memorable being the Dashboard Upgrade, and there are more to come.
Xbox Live’s latest update will be available on November 17th and will add Facebook, Twitter and Last.fm to your Dashboard.
Let’s see how many people tweet stating that they’ve “Owned some friggin’ noob”.
