Well, now you can get one since the ESRB has released a free app for the iPhone and iPod Touch that lets you check out game ratings and descriptions for your favorite games. The ESRB’s full database is accessible so now there’s one less reason for parents to say they didn’t know their kid was getting a Mature game. For those of us without kids the app can also be used to get new info on upcoming games that hasn’t yet been revealed. It’s no secret the ESRB has let loose some game details ahead of time when they put new titles in their database or at the very least you can enjoy a hearty laugh when they attempt to classify the more bizarre games out there.

Handy, but meh. I’m not an overprotective parent, or a parent at all (unless you count my cousin), I don’t mind what my little cousin plays though, as long as he knows the difference between fantasy and reality.
