“MotorStorm: Arctic Edge is an upcoming entry in the MotorStorm series of video games. The game will take place in the Alaska mountains, and will feature snowmobiles and powerful snowplow trucks and will also allow users to customise vehicles. Unlike previous games in the series, the game is being developed by Bigbig Studios and will be released on PlayStation 2 and PlayStation Portable in the fourth quarter of 2009.”

What about gameplay?
Unlike the PS2 version, the PSP will allow players to use Photo Mode, custom soundtracks, and online play. The PSP version will feature 8-player online multiplayer, while the PS2 version features multiplayer split-screen. Time attacks has also been confirmed for both consoles. However, it will only be recorded for the PSP version from the leaderboards. Tracks has also been confirmed, a total of 12 tracks can be raced, such as Wolfpack Mountain, Widow Maker, Log Jam, Cold Rush, and Vertigo.

Surprisingly, even though I was a fan of the first game, I’m not excited at all by this announcement, mostly due to the fact that it won’t be available on the PlaySation 3, but also because the graphics won’t be to my liking.

Ah, yes, it is studios, I was confused my self.
looks decent for PSP, quite a few nice features like the 8 player multi game (although I dont know that many people with PSP’s). The graphics look ok, nothing to write home about.
